Jay Peak
Ski Resort
Lots of places treat skiing and riding like an
amenity. At Jay Peak it's both bread and butter. Sure, we have
great lodging, a golf course and some interesting development on
the way, but it's all a distant second behind skiing and riding.
We have 76 trails, slopes and glades for you to explore and
that's just what you'll find on the map. In between, the nooks
and crannies, are really what sets Jay Peak apart. Have fun
exploring and find something that moves you.
SMUGGLER'S
NOTCH
Terrain parks geared to differing levels of ability are
enticing more and more kids, moms and dads, and recreational
skiers and riders into playing in the parks. Smugglers' Notch
Resort offers a step-up progression that begins with a modest
level of difficulty and leads through several parks towards big
air.
The Log Jam Terrain Park, Smugglers' park for novices, is
now in its third season. The park is situated on the Log Jam
trail at Morse Highlands to offer a wide trail and long run,
as well as snowmaking capability. The park hosts several fun
boxes, a mini-pipe and two rollers as an assortment of low
level hits.
For intermediate snow sports enthusiasts the Birch Run
Terrain Park on Sterling Mountain is the next step. This
1200 foot long run covers two acres with rails, ramps and
one jump. Both intermediate and advanced skiers and
boarders, ages 6 to adult, can sign up for a one-hour
private Terrain Park Tactics session to work on their park
skills.
The Zone on Sterling Mountain is fitted with jumps,
rails, and ramps, all of a larger and more impressive nature
than those offered in the other parks. Beginning in December
and each month throughout the season there is a Gravity
Control Rail Jam, Slopestyle or Big Air event that give
participants a chance to show their prowess and win prizes
in front of crowds of bystanders. These events take place at
the Zone.
Stowe mountain ski resort
Each of the trails at Stowe Mountain Resort offers a unique
experience - hence "The Great 48." Because no two trails are
alike, individualism and self-expression awaken within those who
explore the mountain's character. The mythology and magnetism of
Stowe are the inspiration that continues to bring the community
at large to this special place.
